Hi! I'm Rachel Engebretson - wife, mom of two and creator of  Love & Butter Bakery.

 

I started baking for friends and family in 2010 with cupcakes, cake pops, candies and chocolates. My hobby quickly became a passion and I debated going to culinary school, but when another career opportunity came along the bakery dream was put on hold.

Fast forward to 2018, I brought cookies to a neighborhood barbecue and quickly had inquiries into where I got them. Once I explained that I was the baker, several friends encouraged (or pushed) me to open a bakery so they could be my first customers. I'm so thankful they did!

 

Love & Butter Bakery was born in August 2018 and has grown quickly thanks to the support of my customers. I had so much fun working with my clients that I decided to get out of the kitchen and share the cookie love even further!

 

In July 2022 I held my first cookie class and found a whole new passion! I absolutely LOVE teaching the ins and outs of cookie decorating and seeing my students' creations. Monthly classes are held exclusively at Wooden Hill Brewing Company in Edina. When my schedule allows, I also teach in home private classes. All cookies are made with love and a whole lot of butter in my home kitchen in Hopkins, Minnesota. I operate under Minnesota Cottage Food laws, my cookies are not subject to state inspection. These laws also prohibit me from shipping, all orders must me picked up from my home in Hopkins, Minnesota. I do not deliver.

Sugar cookie ingredients: unsalted butter, flour, powdered sugar, eggs, vanilla bean paste, almond extract, salt.
Royal icing ingredients: powdered sugar, meringue powder, corn syrup, food dye. Allergens: wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nut.
